OpenText extends Content Services technology for Microsoft Teams

OpenText announced the availability of its Content Services technology for Microsoft Teams. OpenText Extended ECM for Microsoft Office 365 integrates content and collaboration tools into business processes. With today’s announcement, OpenText adds its information governance tools and systems to Teams, making an expanded set of compliance, records management, and archiving options available to Teams users and administrators. Extended ECM allows users to surface Teams content in context of relevant business processes across the enterprise, creating links with line-of-business systems and applications such as Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle. Users can:

  • Access and centrally govern customer content within the Teams environment;
  • Automate the creation of a Team specific to an OpenText business process;
  • Synchronize Teams membership with OpenText content management systems;
  • Archive Teams content to OpenText utilizing governance best practices; and
  • Retire Teams and dispose of noncrucial content automatically using OpenText Extended ECM.

Episerver introduces Intelligence Cloud

Episerver introduced the third Episerver “cloud” pillar with the launch of Intelligence Cloud. They have combined new and existing personalization and analytics products from Episerver with the late 2019 acquisition, Idio, to form the new Intelligence Cloud. With Intelligence Cloud Episerver is delivering data, recommendations and analytics capabilities that complement Episerver Content Cloud, Commerce Cloud and Marketing Automation, for a complete customer-centric digital experience platform (DXP).

Data Conversion Laboratory and Court Square Group partner

Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL) and Court Square Group announced a new partnership for global life sciences organizations. Together, DCL and Court Square Group help the pharma industry’s clinical and drug development process by providing content management and content structure solutions that support every stage of the product life cycle. DCL provides content structure to documents that are critical to support the life sciences industry. For example, DCL’s structured product labeling (SPL) work comprises deconstructing forms-based content and image-based PDFs to create structured markup (XML). DCL applies a layer of metadata to facilitate downstream content discovery and delivers final SPL files to the FDA on behalf of clients. Using artificial intelligence and natural language processing, DCL’s content enrichment services improve content discovery for R&D applications during the development of new drugs or reclassification of pharma agents. The new partnership provides pharmaceutical and biotech companies with an integrated solution that supports compliance to complex SPL, EDMS, eCTD, eTMF and global regulatory submissions, while working in a cloud based, validated environment that meets the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11.

MxHero announced Egnyte integration with Microsoft Outlook

MxHero announced availability of its integration between Microsoft’s Outlook email client and the Egnyte content management platform directly from the Microsoft Outlook AppSource store. The add-in can be installed from within Outlook for Windows, Mac, and OWA (Outlook Web Access). Additional capabilities include download, preview, collaboration, move and deletion of files, folders, and email messages. When saving emails to Egnyte, MxHero optimizes email content for the Egnyte environment by automatically saving the email message as a text-searchable PDF document linked to any attachments that are saved separately. The plugin requires Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, Outlook.com, or Office 365 with an email that is hosted on a Microsoft Exchange server.

Accusoft partners with TEAM Informatics on M-Connect for M-Files

TEAM Informatics is developing a new product called M-Connect, which leverages Accusoft’s PrizmDoc Viewer. M-Connect extends and enhances the capabilities of the M-Files Intelligent Information Management platform. As part of M-Connect’s functionality, TEAM Informatics needed to provide the ability for users to access, view, collaborate, and search information within different document formats. They needed to control access to the documents, audit changes, and support a wide range of file formats in a web interface. Accusoft provides content and imaging solutions that solve document lifecycle complexities. Their technology provides document viewing, advanced search, image compression, conversion, barcode recognition, OCR, and other image processing tools to use in application and web development. The partners plan to launch M-Connect July 8, 2020.

DocsCorp acquires Verowave

DocsCorp announced it has completed acquisition agreements for Verowave Technologies, a UK provider of document production and assembly software. The verowave Platform (verodocs, verosheets, and veroslides) will be integrated into the DocsCorp document productivity suite and re-branded as veroDocs. With this acquisition, DocsCorp brings together document assembly and production, PDF creation and editing, document comparison, metadata cleaning, and email recipient checking into an integrated suite.
