Kentico Kontent updates UI and headless CMS

Kentico Kontent, provider of a headless CMS, announced the launch of their new user interface and other improvements that help both global and regional teams in enterprise organizations to effectively manage their content. The streamlined user interface and other updates create an authoring environment that frees enterprise content teams to execute their content operations faster and with a minimal learning curve.

The Kontent team has also released their Collections feature that lets enterprises manage all their content in a single repository while maintaining control over which users can access each type of content. Software AG updates webMethods platform for APIs

Software AG announced new innovations of its webMethods platform for APIs, Integration and Microservices. With this release, companies can simplify and accelerate their digital transformation initiatives while also speeding their adoption of cloud. The latest updates to webMethods include:

  • To simplify cloud adoption, Software AG has added AI and ML-assisted smart mapping. Now users are given suggested mappings based on the combined best practices across the platform, reducing the effort of building integrations.
  • A new online community gives partners and users the opportunity to share cloud connectors as well as integration templates, or “recipes,” to build their projects faster and with fewer errors.

Collabware announces three Collabspace products

Collabware, a provider of information governance automation software, announced the release of three distinct products under the Collabspace brand. The content management cloud service has segmented into tiers to provide focused and advanced features for secure archiving, accurate search, and compliant records management; named: Collabspace ARCHIVE, Collabspace DISCOVERY, and Collabspace CONTINUUM. Collabspace connects to and streams all content sources together within a data lake archive to bring control and visibility to an organization’s structured and unstructured data assets.

  • Collabspace ARCHIVE supports cross-system data access, auditing, recovery, and search. Electronic files and email content are transparently and automatically archived into a data lake while keeping content fully available and searchable.
  • Collabspace DISCOVERY automatically indexes all data to enable search capabilities, also revealing dark and hidden data, also useful for processing Freedom of Information (FOI) or General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requests.
  • Collabspace CONTINUUM automates records activities to meet your legislative and regulatory compliance requirements. Files are also auto-categorized to a file plan so proper retention policies can be applied.

Collabspace pricing starts from $600 per compute segment, per month and is billed annually (with volume discounts available). One compute segment equates to 1TB of data (approximately 5 million items @ 200KB each).

InfluxData releases InfluxDB Notebooks

InfluxData creator of the time series database InfluxDB, announced the general availability of InfluxDB Notebooks, a new capability to improve communication for software development teams, and enhance productivity within InfluxDB Cloud by allowing developers to discuss time series data analyses and trends inside the platform rather than switching conversations to third-party messaging applications. It also allows users to create a durable artifact that shows teams how time series data is analyzed to solve business problems. Developer teams can:

  • Design time series data pipelines with dynamic data, live code, and real-time visualizations, all with inline explanatory notes, effectively showing their work and sharing it with others
  • Share incident investigations to explain root cause following service outages, and build runbooks to avoid future outages
  • Document how IoT sensor data has been collected, normalized, enriched and downsampled to facilitate preventive maintenance and forecast device obsolescence

InfluxDB Annotations will soon follow InfluxDB Notebooks and enables adding notes directly on dashboard cells to highlight and explain the meaning of anomalies in time series data and coordinate troubleshooting efforts. These new capabilities improve collaboration between developers, SREs, and every stakeholder involved in time series collection, enrichment, and analysis, and lets teams weave together computational information such as code, data and statistics with narrative, and graphs.

Lucid joins Asana Partners with Lucidchart integration

Lucid, a provider of visual collaboration software, announced it has joined the newly launched Asana Partners program as a Technology Partner with a new Lucidchart integration to support distributed teams within existing workflows. This new integration will enable Lucidchart users to embed diagrams, flowcharts, and more into Asana project briefs, allowing teams to view Lucidchart documents without switching between applications. Asana users will be able to leverage Lucidchart’s intelligent diagramming to add visual context, enable faster decision making with real-time data insights, and streamline workflows across teams directly in Asana.

As part of the Lucid visual collaboration suite, Lucidchart works in conjunction with Lucidspark, a digital whiteboard solution, to help teams work more effectively within the systems where they already work. The new Asana and Lucidchart integration helps create a single source of truth which will enable distributed teams to plan effectively, measure how they’re tracking toward their goals and easily automate workflows, so they can move faster and collaborate seamlessly. OpenText announced OpenText Core Content and OpenText Core Case Management, a new content services platform, as part of OpenText Cloud Editions (CE) 21.2, OpenText Core Content and OpenText Core Case Management are cloud offerings that can be tailored to address unique line of business, departmental, and industry needs.

IOS Press relaunches LD Connect

IOS Press, an international publisher providing content and services for scientific, technical, and medical (STM) communities, announced the relaunch of the renewed LD Connect (Linked Data Connect) website. Providing publicly available linked machine-readable metadata from all IOS Press journals and books, LD Connect has been completely rebuilt and rebranded. Located at ld.iospress.nl, it features enhanced browse and semantic search capabilities, expanded data, and new tools. It also constructs artificial intelligence (AI)-powered embeddings derived from all full text data, further unsiloing research data and enriching contextual relationships.

By enriching and fostering the interlinking of data, contextual relationships among authors, institutions, and research areas can be visualized and interpreted and new relationships uncovered. LD Connect builds a knowledge graph using links between the data known as “triples” in the form of subject-predicate-object expressions. Constructed from metadata from all IOS Press content, the portal currently contains about 16 million triples that provide a complete ecosystem of IOS Press scholarly relationships. Affiliations are geocoded and authors as well as affiliations are disambiguated using a co-reference resolution script.

LD Connect lets users explore its knowledge graph by browsing or using expert level semantic search. In addition, the complete dataset, its subsets, and additional technical details can be explored and downloaded. The LD Connect team seeks collaboration with other datasets and parties and welcomes feedback and suggestions.

Brightcove announces Virtual Events for Business

Brightcove Inc. announced the availability of Virtual Events for Business, an easy-to-use virtual event solution for highly repeatable, mid-sized events within the enterprise. Virtual Events for Business is a virtual event creation, marketing, and delivery platform designed to service the rapidly expanding number of events hosted across the enterprise. The solution offers customizable event templates, interactive calls to action, post-event archiving, multi-device support, and attendee interactivity features, as well as live clipping of event video to multiple social media channels. Additionally, Virtual Events for Business includes Zoom and Microsoft Teams integrations, and a registration connector for Cvent and user engagement analytics.

The pandemic was an accelerator and a disrupter to events of all forms. As companies moved events to a virtual setting out of need, they found business benefits in terms of higher attendance and reach, as well as the perpetuation and reuse of content, leading to greater ROI for these events. Virtual Events for Business is currently being offered as an annual subscription for new Brightcove customers, or as a platform addition for existing customers.
