Translations.com updates ServiceNow integration

Translations.com, the technology division of TransPerfect, provider of language and technology solutions for global business, announced the certification of the new GlobalLink Connect for ServiceNow integration.

GlobalLink Connect for ServiceNow, a Now Certified App, is Translations.com’s all-in-one solution to initiate, automate, control, track, and complete all facets of the translation process, all within the ServiceNow user interface. The combination of ServiceNow’s workflow automation platform and GlobalLink’s extended localization workflow capabilities provides users with a comprehensive solution for managing global enterprise content with minimal effort and virtually little to no IT overhead. When combined with GlobalLink AI, ServiceNow offers users reduced costs and time-to-market while still maintaining high quality translations. Ceros acquires Oroson

Ceros, a cloud-based, no-code design platform for interactive content, announced its acquisition of online visual feedback tool Oroson to accelerate its mission of empowering creativity and collaboration. The acquisition will add new functionality to Ceros’ own feedback collaboration tool, MarkUp. Available as a free subscription, MarkUp allows users to upload any website, image or PDF and share it across an organization for others to provide, review and resolve comments directly on the content itself. With the acquisition of Oroson, MarkUp users will be able to upload video and audio files and provide feedback — frame by frame — without the need to share individual files back and forth among teams. The new feature is expected to be available this summer.

Based in Northern Ireland, Oroson was founded eight years ago by Daniel McGlade, CEO, and Richard Davidson, CTO, who together have nearly five decades of experience in software development and deep market insights into meeting the needs of creative teams who need to easily review and provide clear feedback on digital content. In his new role with MarkUp, McGlade will lead growth and revenue. Davidson will transition into the role of principal engineer for MarkUp.

Cloudinary acquires Indivio

Cloudinary, a media experience platform, announced its acquisition of Indivio, a video software company that helps modern marketing teams create and deliver high-performing, data-driven video campaigns faster. The entire Indivio team has joined Cloudinary, with CEO and co-founder Josh Dorward becoming Managing Director of the company’s newly formed Video Creative Automation business line.

Cloudinary’s automated, AI-based approach to media management and experience allows brands to create and deliver digital experiences without the challenges that come from trying to manage all that’s needed to do so at scale. With Indivio’s offering marketing teams can:

  • Scale the volume and frequency of on-brand creative content without overburdening creative teams. Brands can use dynamic templates and content from a variety of sources, including live product detail pages, to automatically create highly relevant and personalized videos.
  • Streamline creative onboarding with support for tools like Adobe After Effects.
  • Accelerate the QA of dynamic video creative.

Cloudinary will continue to fully support the Indivio product line. It also plans to leverage Indivio’s technology to develop a fully integrated video creative automation experience within the Cloudinary media experience platform.

iTranslate launches API integration at Snap’s Lens Fest

iTranslate announced they will be providing their translation API on the latest update to Snap’s Lens Studio platform. The Remote Service Module of Lens Studio allows users to obtain data from external APIs and use them in their Lenses. Specifically, this module provides a scripting API to call the endpoints of an external API, in this case, iTranslate’s translation API. Developers can use the translation API in basically two ways:

  • to translate text in a Text object
  • to translate text in a Text3D object

In both use cases, developers use a provided script that translates Text or Text3D objects. To translate simple Text objects, attach the script to a Scene object that includes a Text component. After that, select the desired source and target language. For 3D objects, use the same script, attach a Scene object that contains a Text3D component, and select the source and target language again. Developers can also extend the script to more use cases.

Lucid updates Lucidspark integration with Teams

Lucid, provider of visual collaboration software, announced an updated integration experience for its virtual whiteboard, Lucidspark, with Microsoft Teams. The Lucidspark integration with Teams connects distributed teams by bringing collaboration right into users’ existing workflows. The new integration feature allows users to collaborate and interact with a Lucidspark board directly within a Teams meeting by sharing it to the meeting stage. This provides the full experience of an in-person whiteboarding session without ever leaving Teams, making it even easier for hybrid teams to collaborate, align and move into action.
