Adobe announces Firefly for Enterprise

Adobe announced a generative AI offering that brings Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express to enterprises. Firefly for Enterprise is designed to help enterprises streamline and accelerate content creation while optimizing costs. The new company-wide offering enables every employee across an organization, at any creative skill level, to use Firefly to generate content that can be edited in Express or Creative Cloud. Express bridges workflows between creative professionals and marketers through integrations into Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Experience Manager, their CMS solution.

As part of this new offering , users will be able to access Firefly through the standalone Firefly application, Adobe Express and Creative Cloud, and Adobe plans to enable businesses to be able to custom train Firefly with their own branded assets, embedding Firefly into their own ecosystem and generating content in the brand’s style and brand language using APIs to increase automation. Firefly is designed to be safe for commercial use and enterprises also have the opportunity to obtain an IP indemnity from Adobe for content generated by certain Firefly-powered workflows. The new Adobe Firefly for enterprise offering will be available in the second half of 2023.

Adobe unveils Generative Fill for Photoshop

Adobe unveiled Generative Fill in Photoshop, bringing Adobe Firefly generative AI capabilities directly into design workflows. The new Firefly-powered Generative Fill giving users a new way to work by easily adding, extending or removing content from images non-destructively using simple text prompts. This beta release of Photoshop is Adobe’s first Creative Cloud application to deeply integrate Firefly. Adobe plans to incorporate Firefly across Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud and Adobe Express.

Generative Fill automatically matches perspective, lighting and style of images to enable users achieve results while reducing tedious tasks. Generative Fill expands creative expression and productivity and enhances creative confidence of creators with the use of natural language and concepts to generate digital content.

Photoshop’s Generative Fill feature is available in the desktop beta app today and will be generally available in the second half of 2023. Generative Fill is also available today as a module within the Firefly beta app for users interested in testing the new capabilities on the web.

Adobe expands Frame.io collaboration platform beyond video

Adobe announced they expanded Frame.io’s video collaboration platform to photos and PDF documents, broadening the cloud-based solution to new markets and a wider range of creative professionals and businesses.

Frame.io now fully supports PDF documents to aid teams in reviewing collateral and other project-adjacent materials. New enhancements enable customers to natively open and mark up PDF files on iPhones and iPads, while enabling all PDF and photo annotations to be seen on these devices and the web, just as with videos.

Frame.io now offers users a workflow from content capture to edit, review and approval through one centralized hub, leveraging new Camera to Cloud native integrations with FUJIFILM X-H2S and X-H2 cameras.

Adobe also previewed Forensic Watermark, a forensic watermarking solution, providing media and entertainment studios, global brands and large agencies with a secure collaboration platform for working with sensitive pre-release content. Forensic Watermark is designed to be easy for creators to use and difficult for leakers to circumvent. The security service embeds invisible watermarks on video assets as short as 30 seconds, using pixel-level details that are capable of surviving screen recording, file copying and external recording.

Adobe announces multiple product updates

At Adobe Summit Adobe unveiled a wide range of product updates across Adobe Experience Cloud, a customer experience management solution, and Adobe Creative Cloud a platform for creating compelling content, to help brands drive experience-led growth.

Adobe debuted new Adobe Sensei GenAI services, including Adobe Firefly – a new family of creative generative AI models, as well as new generative AI innovations across Adobe Experience Cloud to power marketing workflows. The company also announced new Adobe Product Analytics and a reimagined content management solution enabling marketers to self-serve website and mobile app edits.

Adobe unveiled Adobe Express for Enterprise, allowing anyone within an organization to rapidly create and iterate content, regardless of their creative skill level. Adobe also announced a Content Supply Chain solution, made possible through Creative Cloud and Experience Cloud that connect popular tools for planning, creating, reviewing and distributing creative collateral so teams can collaborate more efficiently.

AI and generative AI services will be integrated natively in Adobe Experience Cloud as a co-pilot for marketers, improving productivity and efficiency while providing full creative control and trusted governance capabilities. Sensei GenAI will leverage multiple large language models (LLMs) including Microsoft Azure OpenAI and FLAN-T5 within Adobe Experience Platform, depending on business needs.
