Acquia supports latest content accessibility guidelines

Acquia, a digital experience software vendor , today announced that its Monsido web optimization platform offers support for WCAG 2.2, the latest web content accessibility guidelines recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Using the Accessibility Module in Monsido, customers can automatically scan their websites, obtain an accessibility score, and receive actionable recommendations to help ensure the accessibility of their digital content for individuals with disabilities. 

WCAG 2.2 expands on WCAG 2.1 – which addressed accessibility issues for individuals with blindness, deafness, and mobility requirements – with new criteria to make the web more productive for those with low vision and cognitive disabilities, as well as those using tablets and other mobile devices. The Monsido platform addresses common accessibility issues against these latest guidelines, and enables errors to be filtered by the desired level of compliance (e.g. A, AA, or AAA) for easy prioritization. Comprehensive reports explain how to resolve issues, and the Accessibility Fast Track feature empowers teams to instantly fix repetitive errors across multiple pages. Trados announces Trados Studio 2024

Trados, the translation platform by RWS, announced the upcoming release of Trados Studio 2024, their computer-assisted translation tool. Studio 2024 includes new features that improve accessibility, democratize access to generative AI, and increase management capabilities:

  • Perform a project roundtrip (create, manage, translate, deliver) with screen readers and leverage native dictation in the online editor.
  • Access smart AI capabilities, such as our new ‘Trados Copilot – AI Assistant’ app exclusive to Trados Studio 2024, seamless support for Machine Translation Quality Estimation (MTQE) data and Smart Help – intelligent support as you work.
  • Benefit from full support for local, server and cloud-based projects in the new Manager view, better integration with cloud capabilities and the ability to leverage cloud resources during batch processing in local Studio projects.

Additional enhancements:

  • The workflow editor has the option to edit outcomes in human workflow tasks. This functionality simplifies the user experience for administrators making it easier for them to manage workflows, particularly when handling task transitions (which help users decide which ‘route’ they want their workflows to follow).
  • The customer portal is designed to streamline the translation project management process, providing a simple and efficient interface for requestors to create, track and retrieve their projects.

Adobe adds Firefly to Adobe Express App

Adobe announced that the all-new Adobe Express mobile app is available to all users, bringing features powered by Adobe Firefly generative AI directly into the hands of content creators. The new Adobe Express mobile app brings Adobe’s photo, design, video and generative AI capabilities into an all-in-one content editor, giving everyone the ability to produce high quality content on web and mobile.

Marketers can create explainer and promotional videos to launch new products or design on-brand social campaigns for multiple social channels. Small business owners can design logos and standout business cards, create digital flyers for online sales, edit photos and videos and schedule and publish content for their TikTok and Instagram channels directly in the app. Creative professionals can bring assets they design in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop into Adobe Express and quickly create social posts for their clients’ e-commerce business.

The new Adobe Express mobile app is now available for free worldwide in many languages and on most Android and iOS devices. Progress releases Sitefinity 15.1

Google enhances Google Workspace

Adobe introduces Frame.io V4

Adobe introduced the all-new Frame.io V4, a creative collaboration platform that streamlines and simplifies workflows across content creation and production. Frame.io V4 is designed to meet the complex needs of creative teams delivering personalized content by centralizing feedback, helping to reduce rounds of revisions and accelerating the delivery of media assets. The next generation of Frame.io will begin to roll out today in beta for Frame.io Free and Pro customers, and is planned to launch later this year for Team and Enterprise customers. 

With all-new workflow management capabilities, anchored by a dynamic metadata framework and smart folder system called Collections, V4 introduces a cloud-based platform that is customizable and flexible enough to facilitate any creative workflow. File transfer, media asset review and approval, sharing, and presentations have undergone a complete transformation in V4, offering users a platform for their most demanding creative projects.

Frame.io is integrated with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects and will be available in Adobe Photoshop for Creative Cloud Enterprise customers beginning in May, with support for more Creative Cloud tools, customer segments, and integration with Workfront coming later this year.

NebulaGraph Enterprise v3.7.0 simplifies building knowledge graphs

Vesoft announced the latest update to the NebulaGraph Enterprise v3.7.0, featuring two modules: the Knowledge Graph Build (beta) and the AI Assistant. These functions invite users to experience firsthand the seamless integration of graph technology and Large Language Models (LLMs) at a product level.

In the v3.7.0 of the NebulaGraph Enterprise, the KG Build function streamlines the creation of knowledge graphs by connecting to LLMs, automatically processing uploaded file data, transforming it into a knowledge graph, and storing it in the database. This new process reduces manpower and resource needs and enhances data processing efficiency. Beyond supporting small-scale trial files, the KG Build function accommodates super large-scale file uploads to LLMs, allowing users to customize knowledge graph construction tasks for a more flexible and convenient process.

Alongside KG Build, NebulaGraph Explorer v3.7.0 introduced the AI Assistant function for Graph Language Generation. The query language of graph databases has been a barrier for many users, often requiring systematic learning or professional assistance. With the Graph Language Generation function users simply input natural language queries related to the graph database, and the AI assistant translates the query into a graph query statement.
