Opinion / Analysis

Stop getting good at protocols. Get good at agent experience.

As Sean Roberts points out, the mistake of thinking a tool is a strategy  has plagued organizations, and embarrassed (at best) decision-makers for years. It’s a category mistake, not a question of how good or useful a tool is. Roberts provides some pointers on creating an agent experience strategy. (9 min)

AI is becoming a monoculture

When everything reasons the same way, everything fails the same way

We’ve known of language model collapse — degradation caused by AI data recursively populating their own models as well AI data from any other language models they can find. Ayoub Nainia makes a compelling case for treating “model diversity as something worth protecting on purpose.” (7 min)

Adobe to acquire Topaz Labs

Adobe today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Topaz Labs, an AI company specializing in video and image enhancement models. Topaz Labs provides a broad array of advanced AI models for video and image enhancement that analyze and improve existing visual content by sharpening detail, removing noise, restoring footage and increasing resolution, making them essential for any workflow that combines real-world capture with AI-generated imagery.

With Topaz Labs, Adobe will expand its video and image model offerings with enhanced models in Adobe Firefly, Firefly Services and Creative Cloud apps, giving creators, designers, video professionals, photographers and enterprises more tools to achieve quality across every format and workflow. Topaz Labs AI technology will be integrated across Adobe’s creative AI portfolio, giving creatives the ability to enhance footage, restore and remaster archival content, and blend AI-generated and traditionally captured content into seamless final productions. Topaz Labs will also bring its proprietary Neurostream technology that enables large, complex AI models to run locally on consumer devices, democratizing advanced image and video models previously limited to high-end systems or cloud-only usage and positioning Adobe to tap into the growing opportunity for efficient, on-device AI video.

New Graphwise Platform & Pulse initiative to accelerate trustworthy agentic AI

Graphwise, (the result of the merger of Ontotext with Semantic Web Company) announced the integration of the Graphwise Platform, which turns fragmented data into measurable, hallucination-free business outcomes. Rather than stitching together and maintaining different software applications to build a secure AI data pipeline, the Graphwise Platform provides organizations with a unified environment by automating the transition from raw, disconnected enterprise data to highly intelligent, autonomous AI.

Graphwise also announced the Graphwise Platform Pulse initiative, a quarterly enterprise initiative and webinar series designed to show organizations how to build a Semantic Backbone and create a reliable infrastructure for Enterprise AI.

The Graphwise Platform builds a semantic layer that connects siloed data, documents, and unique business logic into one trusted source. By giving GenAI a “business brain” that completely understands the business POV, the Graphwise Platform structures data into a web of explicit relationships to create a trusted Semantic Backbone that reduces AI hallucinations and replaces uncertainty with reliable facts.

The Graphwise Platform divides the journey into two phases:

Establish the Structural Foundation

  • Mapping Knowledge Through Taxonomies and Ontologies
  • Making Data Operational Through Graph Automation

Deploying the Semantic Layer and Powering Intelligence

  • Powering AI Applications with GraphRAG
  • Achieving Autonomous AI

Canva introduces Canva Grow 2.0

Design has always been at the heart of Canva, and that’s meant more than making things look good. For marketing teams, it’s meant finding new ways to help them move faster, do more with less, and create work that actually drives results. But the tools for creating ads, publishing them, and understanding how they performed were always separate, leaving teams to stitch together their own workflow across platforms and start new campaigns largely from scratch.

Canva Grow 2.0 is designed to help teams stop managing tools and start building better campaigns, Canva Grow 2.0 brings ad creation, publishing, and performance optimization into a single AI-native workflow.

The foundation of Canva Grow 2.0 is an upgraded AI-powered ad creation experience that removes the specialist resource and production time that effective ad creation demands. Drop in your website and Canva Grow pulls in your business information, product visuals, brand colors, and audience signals to generate high-performing static and video ads in moments, ready to customize and launch.

Multi-Platform Ad Insights & Reports brings performance reporting into a single visual experience where you can identify top-performing creative, spot trends across campaigns, build custom reports, and share insights across your team without bouncing between platforms.

PTC launches PTC Orbit

PTC announced the PTC Orbit cloud-native asset intelligence solution, which closes the gap between the product as designed and the asset as maintained. By connecting PLM, ERP, CRM, IoT, EAM, and FSM systems into a single, unified asset record, PTC Orbit applies AI to make asset information accessible, explorable, and actionable across engineering, quality, and service teams and extends the value of the Intelligent Product Lifecycle.

PTC Orbit serves as the as-maintained system of intelligence, enabling every team to work from the same accurate, current asset view, driving closed-loop product reliability, proactive service readiness, and support for aftermarket revenue programs. PTC Orbit primary functions:

  • Asset data consolidation: Connects and reconciles asset data from PLM, ERP, CRM, IoT, EAM, FSM, and other enterprise systems to create a unified, as-maintained view of each asset, closing the visibility gap that opens when products ship.
  • AI-powered lifecycle intelligence: Applies AI to detect service patterns and failure trends, calculate asset health scores, and forecast service and maintenance demand by asset group, account, and region.
  • AI‑assisted access and interaction: Enables teams across the enterprise to interact with asset data through an AI canvas that surfaces insights dynamically based on user context, going beyond static dashboards.

Optimizely launches full AEO platform

Optimizely, a digital experience platform (DXP) provider, launched its full AEO platform, offering enterprise marketers a comprehensive suite of AI visibility tools and the pre-built agents to act on those insights autonomously. The launch introduces Agent Visibility Analytics from Optimizely and a new partnership between Optimizely and Conductor, an enterprise AEO platform. Together, Optimizely and Conductor are bringing log-based AI traffic data, GEO and AEO intelligence, and agents into a single platform.

Optimizely’s AEO platform gives enterprise marketers a one-stop-shop for AI-driven discovery. The platform helps teams understand how their brand appears across AI-generated answers and compares to competitors in LLMs, analyze how AI agents and crawlers interact with their content, and identify opportunities to improve content coverage, technical hygiene and overall discoverability. Marketers can evaluate AI discovery from multiple angles, including citations, mentions, search performance, crawl behavior, referral activity and page-level visibility trends.

Optimizely now brings Agent Visibility Analytics, built inside Optimizely Analytics to provide direct visibility into observed AI request activity using factual, log-level data from an organization’s site rather than inferred or modeled behavior. Teams can analyze how AI agents interact with their content by intent, content type, metadata and other business dimensions.
