Qumu introduces live captioning for enterprise video

Qumu Corporation, a provider of cloud-based enterprise video technology, announced the development and release of its live captioning capabilities. The new release of Qumu Cloud provides artificial intelligence (AI)-based translation of voice to on-screen captions for video viewers. Developed by Qumu’s cloud engineering team, it is available to all Qumu customers and included in the license subscription.

Qumu’s new live captioning is designed from the ground up to enable reliable, scalable hosting of virtual events of any size. The feature is currently available in two languages, English and Japanese, with the plan to quickly expand to additional languages. Qumu’s on-demand, or asynchronous, captioning remains available in over 25 languages. Qumu’s live captioning is immediately available as part of the Qumu offering, without the need to upgrade or add on services. To maintain top standards, Qumu is working closely with customers, including a national pharmacy and COVID-19 vaccine administer, to improve the accuracy, viewing and user experience with multiple upgrades planned throughout the year.

Lucid joins Asana Partners with Lucidchart integration

Lucid, a provider of visual collaboration software, announced it has joined the newly launched Asana Partners program as a Technology Partner with a new Lucidchart integration to support distributed teams within existing workflows. This new integration will enable Lucidchart users to embed diagrams, flowcharts, and more into Asana project briefs, allowing teams to view Lucidchart documents without switching between applications. Asana users will be able to leverage Lucidchart’s intelligent diagramming to add visual context, enable faster decision making with real-time data insights, and streamline workflows across teams directly in Asana.

As part of the Lucid visual collaboration suite, Lucidchart works in conjunction with Lucidspark, a digital whiteboard solution, to help teams work more effectively within the systems where they already work. The new Asana and Lucidchart integration helps create a single source of truth which will enable distributed teams to plan effectively, measure how they’re tracking toward their goals and easily automate workflows, so they can move faster and collaborate seamlessly. Brightcove announces Virtual Events for Business

Additionally, Virtual Events for Business includes Zoom and Microsoft Teams integrations, and a registration connector for Cvent and user engagement analytics.

The pandemic was an accelerator and a disrupter to events of all forms. As companies moved events to a virtual setting out of need, they found business benefits in terms of higher attendance and reach, as well as the perpetuation and reuse of content, leading to greater ROI for these events. Virtual Events for Business is currently being offered as an annual subscription for new Brightcove customers, or as a platform addition for existing customers.

Boostlingo now in Zoom App Marketplace
