Cambridge, MA, December 13, 2004. The Gilbane Report and Lighthouse Seminars announced record numbers of conference attendees and visitors to the technology demonstrations at the Gilbane Conference on Content Management Technology held last week at the Westin Copley in Boston, MA. (www.gilbane.com/CM_conference_Boston_04.html)

Also announced were the dates and venues for three Gilbane events to be held in 2005: San Francisco at the Sheraton Palace April 11-13, Amsterdam at the RAI Centre, May 25-27 (co-located with XTech 2005), and Boston at the Westin Copley Nov. 29 – Dec.1. For preliminary information on the three Gilbane conferences scheduled in 2005 see: www.gilbane.com/conferences/overview.html

“We are delighted with the strong show of support from the content management community for our Boston event,” said Frank Gilbane, Conference Chair. “There is a huge demand for high-quality information about content management best practices and new content technologies. This was reflected in the makeup of attendees: approximately 60 percent IT professionals and 40 percent business managers and strategists from across the U.S., as well as dozens of attendees from Europe and Asia. This is also testament to the strength and appeal of Boston as a center for educational conferences – we will be back in Boston in 2005.”

“The Gilbane Conference on Content Management provided a unique opportunity to explore the challenges other companies face in regards to copy management and the solutions they are exploring and implementing,” said Maura Ardis, Product Knowledge and Content Manager, Staples. “Many of the presenters shared valuable information on how companies of all sizes and types can take advantage of content management to provide high-quality, accurate, consistent copy to customers, salespeople, customer service representatives, marketing groups, etc. in a timely fashion. As the amount of content that businesses use continues to grow at a wild rate, more and more companies will have to examine how they manage content and begin implementing many of the strategies discussed at the conference.”

“The Gilbane Conference is a one-of-a-kind industry conference focused on ECM,” said Kevin Hayden, Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Interwoven. “It brings together ECM thought leaders from across the globe and was a great use of our time and resources. We’ll be back!”

“I truly obtained valuable information from the conference and it was great to be totally immersed in the subject matter with other content management professionals dealing with the same challenges as myself,” said Susan Wilder, Content Automation Manager, BB&T.

“Once again, Gilbane and Lighthouse Seminars pulled off an informative high quality, well-targeted conference,” sai d Susan Challenger, Vice President, Marketing , Percussion Software. “For anyone involved in content management, these events are essential.”

“The 27 packed conference sessions, as well as the excitement in the crowded technology showcase with 61 sponsors and exhibitors, convinced us we were right to add a Boston conference,” said Jeffrey Arcuri, VP and General Manager, Lighthouse Seminars. “It also proves the value of a focused, content-centric event where IT and project managers, vendors, consultants, analysts, and developers all reap the benefits of an interactive environment.”
