Innodata announced that it has acquired ISOGEN International from DataChannel, Inc. for approximately $1.3 million. The purchase price consists of an initial cash payment of approximately $650,000 and two promissory notes, each for $325,000, payable on April 30, 2002 and September 30, 2002, with interest. ISOGEN is based in Dallas, Texas, and has offices in Austin, Minneapolis and Bellevue, Washington. ISOGEN International specializes in sophisticated consulting and training in the knowledge-processing technologies of XML, SGML and other standards. ISOGEN International’s 44 employees will operate as a new division of Innodata under George Kondrach, who co-founded ISOGEN International in 1991 and who will serve as the new division’s President.
