GlobalSCAPE announced the availability of its PureCMS hosted content management service. PureCMS now enables organizations to share responsibility for Web site content among non-technical team members, without the need to install and manage a software application internally. The service enables an administrator to manage multiple Web sites from a single Web-based interface and ensures consistent workflow for content contributors. The PureCMS hosted service enables small organizations with limited IT resources to save time and money through use of a content management system that does not require investment in hardware, software or additional IT personnel and provides 24-hour availability, backup and ongoing maintenance of a staging environment for their Web sites. Users can access the service from any computer connected to the Internet with Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater. Users simply browse to a protected copy of their Web site, hosted on GlobalSCAPE’s PureCMS staging server, click the page they want to edit and make textual or graphic changes on screen. Users can even copy and paste information from Windows applications such as Microsoft Word or Excel into their Web sites. Once the user saves the proposed changes, PureCMS sends the designated group leader an email notification that the changes are pending approval. The group leader can compare the proposed changes to the previous version, approve and publish, or schedule for publishing later. The PureCMS hosted service is available immediately from GlobalSCAPE. Pricing begins at $99 per month for 3 users. Service fees include live technical support, maintenance and a storage allowance. www.globalscape.com/purecms
