ebXML Messaging Service Specification version 2.0 has become the newest OASIS Standard, completing a recent election by the consortium’s membership at-large. The ebXML Messaging Service standard, which provides a secure method for exchanging electronic business transactions using the Internet, carries forward work initiated by OASIS and the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT). To attain status as an OASIS Standard, ebXML Messaging Service v2 was first approved by its development team as an OASIS Committee Specification. Plumtree Software, Inc. announced that it has received an unsolicited conditional offer from the Sutter Opportunity Fund 2, LLC to acquire all outstanding shares of Plumtree common stock in exchange for $2.00 in cash and a promissory note due in five years. The offer came in the form of a letter dated September 3, 2002 from Sutter Capital Management of San Francisco to Plumtree CEO John Kunze.
