Open Text Releases Internal Controls 3.0

Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ:OTEX) (NASDAQ:TSX:) (NASDAQ:OTC) announced the release of a major new version of its internal controls software, with new features to manage the costs of complying with corporate governance laws such as the U.S.’s Sarbanes Oxley Act and similar legislation worldwide. Open Text Internal Controls 3.0 offers a centralized, enterprise-wide system to manage internal controls information, including the ability to automate processes and internal reporting. The solution is based on Open Text’s Livelink ECM suite, which provides a broad platform for managing enterprise compliance, so customers can bring internal controls processes into a broader compliance strategy. The solution combines corporate governance tools, including a “controls library” to maintain all information on internal controls and risk mitigation; controls testing and self assessments; issues remediation and task management; audit trails; employee certifications; and reporting. The solution offers a variety of configurable options to minimize the need for customization, and can be applied to address the U.S.’s Sarbanes Oxley Act; Canada’s Bill 198; the U.K.’s Combined Code and Turnbull report and the Companies Bill; France’s Loi de Securite Financiere; Germany’s KonTraG – Law for Control & Transparency and the German Code of Corporate Governance; and the European Union’s Proposed Directive on Statutory Audit. Oracle Unveils Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g

Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) announced Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g, a standalone search engine that enables customers to make critical business information available to authorized users while enforcing corporate security policies. Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g delivers search results from a range of enterprise data sources including databases, file systems, enterprise content management systems, portals, email systems and enterprise applications. Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g is tuned for the needs of the enterprise with search algorithms that can utilize existing business metadata to improve the relevance of search results. The product features a Web interface allowing for efficient administration and management. Additionally, users can access the search engine through Web-based user interfaces and perform traditional keyword searches that provide results in a format similar to conventional Web searches, which helps minimize training and support costs. Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g has built-in functionality that permits users to see only search results leading to information for which they have authorized access. Specifically, Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g delivers direct integration with multiple user authentication systems, a hardened repository for storing the search index, a secure programming interface used to customize the search capabilities and high-quality search results. Xenos Announces d2e Vision v2.2

New Features in Xenos d2e Vision Version 2.2 Include: PCL Generator – Transforms printed output from traditional high-volume data streams into PCL suitable for desktop or production printers, and supports PCL5; PostScript Generator – This component can be used to selectively output and split document input for the routing and migration from legacy printstreams, and produces PostScript Level 3; AFP Parser / AFP Generator – Enables parsing and generating AFP files that use OpenType fonts and Unicode data; JPEG Parsing and Importing; Inline Resources – Enables inclusion of all resources used in a document as inline resources in the AFPoutput; and AFP Generator ImageOptions – Allows custom definitions for processing image elements to optimize file sizes and printing speeds. Xenos d2e Vision version 2.2 is available for Windows NT/2000/XP, AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris and IBM z/OS (running Unix Systems Services).

btexx unveiled easyWCM 2.0 for Web Content Management in the SAP NetWeaver Portal. easyWCM has been completely redesigned and adds the missing Web Content Management functionality to the NetWeaver Portal. SIRE Announces Auto Index

SIRE Technologies, Inc. announced a new product called SIRE Auto Index that improves the speed and accuracy of electronic document indexing and reduces the amount of human involvement required in the process. SIRE Auto Index automatically analyzes documents, even in large batches, and creates indexes for each document. SIRE Auto Index utilizes methods to improve productivity and save time by reading a document only until the required data is found, and no further.
