The release of Vignette Records & Documents is a result of integrating applications secured in Vignette’s recent acquisition of TOWER Technology. Vignette Records & Documents helps customers meet compliance obligations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Vignette is also committed to support the U.K. National Archives (PRO) 2002 Functional Requirements for Electronic Records Management Systems (ERMS) and will seek the National Archives’ approval of Vignette Records & Documents against the PRO 2002 ERMS requirements. Vignette also announced enhanced storage and retrieval support for Vignette IDM, providing customers with an information management system to help the transitioning from paper to high-volume digital processes. Vignette IDM is a Web-enabled imaging, COLD and case management system designed to capture and manage virtually all forms of unstructured business information, including images, forms, computer-generated reports, statements and invoices, office documents, and e-mail.
