AdventNet Unveils SQLOne Database Search Engine
8/30/2006

AdventNet Inc. announced the availability of SQLOne Database Search Engine. SQLOne enables users to search for business information simultaneously across multiple databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. The web-based, keyword-driven search engine allows users to access business critical information as "easily as they would search the Internet". SQLOne is different than traditional database full-text search engines. Most databases are designed with tables that are related to each other. This is done to avoid data duplication and to ensure data integrity. Unless these relationships are discovered and mapped, searches will be incomplete and users will not have a full picture. SQLOne addresses this challenge. With SQLOne, enterprises can now "search-enable" a wide variety of database driven applications including: corporate websites; intranets; e-commerce sites; knowledge management; customer service; product directories as well as business applications like customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise content management (ECM) and HR management systems. Independent software vendors with these and other database-driven applications can also add SQLOne into their products resulting in an integrated search capability specific to their solutions. SQLOne Search is available for trial or purchase. There are several options including: a 45-day evaluation license; a permanent Free Edition, with support for up to 2GB of search index creation; a Professional Edition starting at $245 USD per year subscription for up to 5GB of search index creation. http://www.adventnet.com

CambridgeDocs Announces Word FO Designer for Microsoft Word
8/24/2006

CambridgeDocs announced the release of Word FO Designer, a new plug-in for Microsoft Word that allows organizations to add multi-channel publishing to their business applications. With this new capability, companies that publish large volumes of transactional documents and personalized correspondence, such as those in the insurance, financial services and healthcare industries, can dynamically custom-assemble documents for publication without having to manually maintain hundreds of document templates. When used in conjunction with the CambridgeDocs xDoc Publishing Server, Word FO Designer allows organizations to generate Stylesheets from Microsoft Word documents. Interwoven Announces Scrittura P2P
8/8/2006

Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ:IWOV) announced the forthcoming availability of Scrittura P2P, intended to be the first financial services solution that processes all forms of post-trade confirmations directly between financial parties (called peer-to-peer processing) without the use of a hosted intermediary. Scrittura P2P aims to shrink the current enormous backlogs of post-trade documentation by enabling prompt, accurate processing between all parties involved in these complex investment transactions. The processing complexities of derivatives generated headlines recently when massive multi-billion-dollar backlogs of post-trade documentation drew the concern of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the United Kingdom, the Federal Reserve in the United States, and other financial regulators. While this regulatory attention has led to a heavy focus on credit derivatives, the processing of other complex instruments, for example structured products, has largely been ignored. Scrittura P2P will enable trading messages to contain any data format, removing the restrictions imposed by existing message protocols. Scrittura P2P will support both structured and unstructured trade data, as well as any custom messages sent between financial parties. Scrittura P2P will securely exchange trading information directly between participants without an intermediary hosted connection. Scrittura P2P will provide numerous features to reduce confirmation processing times and increase the accuracy of derivatives trade processing. Scrittura P2P will be available as a standalone, independent solution or will operate with Interwoven's Scrittura solution suite, a family of products for processing of over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. http://www.interwoven.com/

Stellent Acquires SealedMedia and Bitform
8/2/2006

Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL) announced it has staked a claim in the content security market by acquiring SealedMedia Limited, a provider of enterprise digital rights management (eDRM) solutions, and Bitform, a provider of content cleansing technologies. These technologies will enable Stellent customers to better secure and control sensitive content both inside and outside of the enterprise. SealedMedia helps organizations maintain complete control, for the lifetime of a document, over who can use their most sensitive information and when they can use it. Its enterprise digital rights management software protects information wherever it is stored and used. Unlike conventional information management products that only manage information while it resides in servers, SealedMedia extends security, control and tracking to information on remote end-user desktops, laptops and mobile wireless devices. Bitform is an early-stage software development company. Bitform's primary product addresses the rising challenge of hidden data within documents, which can create security and policy risks. This hidden information includes metadata, tracked changes and comments, revision and author history, fast-save data, and database connection details, among many other elements. The Bitform Secure SDK identifies and cleanses or strips files of sensitive, confidential or proprietary metadata and hidden information that may pose risks to organizations if exposed. Stellent will integrate SealedMedia's digital rights management functionality into the Stellent Universal Content Management product suite. All access rights for this digital information will be managed, audited and reported on from a central system. This functionality also will be integrated into Stellent Universal Records Management. Stellent also will continue to market SealedMedia's products on a standalone basis, including the core enterprise digital rights management technology as well as the packaged solutions SealedMedia Express for Board Communications and SealedMedia Express for Mergers and Acquisitions. Approximately 30 SealedMedia employees will join Stellent, including Dr. Martin Lambert, the company's founder and chief technology officer, who will assume the role of chief technology officer for the SealedMedia division of Stellent. Stellent's OEM customers will benefit from the Bitform acquisition by integrating Bitform Secure SDK into their software applications. In addition, by integrating Bitform's technology within its ECM products, Stellent will provide customers with the capability to automatically or manually ensure final, published documents are clean and accurate. Bitform Secure SDK's support for automated, policy-driven document analysis and cleansing also will enhance Stellent's records management and compliance applications. Bitform Secure SDK will become part of Stellent's Outside In family of products under the new name Outside In Clean Content SDK and is available immediately through Stellent's existing OEM channel. Stellent acquired SealedMedia for $10 million in cash and contingent consideration of up to $5 million based upon the achievement of certain financial objectives. Stellent acquired Bitform for $1.2 million in cash and contingent consideration of up to $1.3 million based upon the achievement of certain financial objectives. http://www.stellent.com
