Hummingbird Announces Strategic Relationship with Microsoft

Hummingbird Ltd. (NASDAQ: HUMC, TSX: HUM) announced an enhanced strategic relationship with Microsoft and its plans to deliver technology integrations with the scalability and functionality of Hummingbird Enterprise on the Microsoft platform. Included are access to Hummingbird Enterprise through Outlook, SharePoint Portal Server, Office, and Microsoft Internet Explorer; Native support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005; Continued commitment to the Microsoft .NET strategy; Early support of the next release of Microsoft Office products code-named Microsoft Office “12”; and Continued development relating to performance and scalability such as Hummingbird Content Drive which provides kernel level integration between the Microsoft desktop and the Hummingbird Enterprise repository. Hummingbird will work with Microsoft to proactively deliver high value enterprise content management solutions. New EMC Documentum Submissions Manager for New Drug Applications

EMC Corporation announced the new EMC Documentum Submissions Manager for eCTD. Available immediately, the new software is based on the EMC Documentum enterprise content management platform (ECM), providing a solution to help life sciences organizations speed new drug applications. It is designed to support the regulatory submissions process for the Electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) standard, which is a specification for the exchange of data between life sciences companies and regulatory agencies. The new software helps companies streamline the regulatory submissions process, from the departmental creation of content and submission-ready approvals, to assembly, validation, publishing and delivery to agencies. SpringCM Releases Version 3.0 of its On-Demand Content Management Solution

SpringCM unveiled the latest version of its web-based, integrated content management product, which delivers greater collaboration capabilities and content routing for files and documents. The new release is part of SpringCM’s plan to give its customers monthly product innovations. A check-out function now makes it easier for colleagues to collaborate and share edits on a document or a group of documentsSecurity levels can also be set so content is only viewed and edited by appropriate users. When a user is done editing a document, there is the option to automatically notify the next person who should make edits to the working version. Users need only sign-in once on the SpringCM Web site to access multiple accounts or create a new account.
