RealObjects Releases edit-on Pro 3.0

RealObjects released their latest WYSIWYG Java applet editor, edit-on Pro 3.0. edit-on Pro 3.0 offers an improved spectrum of on-line editing functions, to make the process of updating professional web material more dynamic. The new edit-on Pro 3.0 offers the following feature enhancements: Support of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Creation and editing of style sheets, API for import/export of styles and style sheets, Support for read-only elements and read-only areas, editing of template-based documents, Custom XML tags, Native XHTML data format, filtering of imported or pasted HTML-Code via TIDY from W3C (on client or server), Support of ALIGN attribute, e.g. text will flow around images, Redo/Undo and Search/Replace functions, Copy/Paste of rich text format from Microsoft Word, Excel (tables) and IE – only when using the SUN JRE 1.4.1 on Windows platform. This feature can be enabled/disabled using a parameter, LiveConnect emulation for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, and more. edit-on Pro ActiveX add-on available as an option, i.e. edit-on Pro 3.0 functionality based on Microsoft’s IE DHTML editing control. The ActiveX based editor will have the same look-and-feel and API as the edit-on Pro 3.0 applet. The add-on will be officially released in February 2003. www.realobjects.de
