Ingeniux Launches Mobile Web Portal Solution

Ingeniux Corporation, a provider of web and social content management software for web, tablet, and mobile devices, announced the release of the Ingeniux Mobile Web Portal and new mobile solution packages for Ingeniux customers. Vignette Enhances Web Experience Platform

Vignette (NASDAQ: VIGN) announced significant enhancements to its Web Experience Platform foundation. Vignette’s integrated Web Experience Platform foundation is meant to help organizations quickly manage and deliver targeted content and facilitate user interaction and collaboration with the high performance and scalability required to support large-scale deployments. Vignette Content Management lets users streamline the creation and management of Web content and reduce bottlenecks associated with the delivery and publishing of that information. Enhanced features include friendly URLs to increase search engine site rankings, skip level upgrades to reduce the steps necessary to upgrade from older environments and integration with Vignette High-Performance Delivery (HPD). Vignette Portal allows business users to elevate their brand identity and engage in more personalized Web interactions with key audiences. New capabilities include integration with HPD and Vignette’s recently announced Community product line. Vignette Collaboration helps organizations drive productivity, improve knowledge management and more efficiently direct business processes that require interaction across disparate geographic and organizational boundaries. The latest release features new social computing capabilities including ratings, reviews, tagging and usage analysis. Additional enhancements include improved usability and performance and enhanced support for blogs, wikis and discussion forums. BEA Systems Releases Platform for Enterprise Social Computing

BEA Systems announced the release of its BEA AquaLogic User Interaction suite of products, including new versions of BEA AquaLogic Interaction, BEA AquaLogic Interaction Collaboration and BEA AquaLogic Analytics. These new releases are designed to help companies deliver new workplace strategies via BEA’s cross-platform web suite. With the new BEA AquaLogic User Interaction release, customers can create richer, more interactive profile pages, deliver customizable user experiences and multi-channel interfaces, leverage full RSS capabilities, and enable human networks to create social applications that enhance worker productivity, group collaboration, and community innovation. The new release of BEA AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 delivers a social computing platform with a variety of new features that can help users harness the implicit interactions of day-to-day business – project updates, new documents, process steps, key relationships, expertise, data changes in underlying systems – that are often shared inefficiently through email. Liferay and Terracotta Partner

Liferay, Inc. and Terracotta announced a partnership to integrate the Liferay Portal feature set with the scalability provided by Terracotta. In addition to technical integration, Liferay will bundle Terracotta and serve as a reseller of support. Terracotta offers IT organizations a lightweight approach to scalability that eases the load on application servers and databases. Terracotta uses high-performance mapping of server memory changes, called Network-attached Memory, to share temporary “work-in-progress” data among servers. IBM to Make Google Gadgets and Sitemaps Available to Corporate Portal Users

IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced that it is bringing Google Gadgets – or consumer-style web utilities – into commercial portal software. Available at no cost to WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Portal Express Version 6.0 customers, IBM now lets users create, customize and use rich Internet applications with Google Gadgets directly from within WebSphere Portal so they appear as ready-to-use services. Users can choose from nearly 4,000 Google Gadgets such as language translators, package delivery tracking, Podcast searches, Wikipedia information, YouTube postings and more. These features can be offered through a company’s portal with a click of a button. IBM is also announcing its search sitemap utility, based on a new sitemap protocol, agreed on by Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, that will make it possible to optimize publication of portal content for improved search by public search engines. This feature also includes the ability to notify search engines of the update frequency, last modification date, and relative priority of the content that is being published. The end result is an improved content relationship with external search engines so that all of the public content in a portal can be found and crawled efficiently. The IBM Portlet for Google Gadgets will be available in April via IBM WebSphere Portal catalog. WebSphere Portal Version 6.0 customers, including those using WebSphere Portal Express to deploy solutions for Small and Medium Sized businesses and WebSphere Portal Server Version 6.0 are entitled to use Google Gadget at no cost. Emagine announced that it has released a new version of its emagiC CMS.Net framework. The new version v4.0, released early January 2007, is a targeted towards Enterprise Content Management and opens the way for e-Government applications. Version 4.0 now includes connectors for MS Office and MS SharePoint Portal Server. On security level, Emagine has partnered with Intesi Group for the integration of eID (Electronic IDentity Card) authentication and real-time identity card verification. And, the new version has extensive support for high traffic websites based on a load balancing system (web farms). The MS Office connector let you view and edit documents, stored in the emagiC CMS.Net document library, directly from within MS Office. No need to enter the emagiC CMS.Net administration interface, download the document, make changes and upload it again to the server. Just open MS Office and connect to the emagiC CMS.Net document library. The emagiC CMS.Net SharePoint connector adds the possibility to display content from MS SharePoint Portal Server into the emagiC CMS.Net website. SharePoint lists can be added to any page in emagiC CMS.Net. As with any emagiC CMS.Net module, you control the information that you want to be displayed and the way you want it to be displayed. The SharePoint connector uses SharePoint Web Services.
