CYA Technologies announced CYA SmartRecovery 5.0 and CYA Recycle Bin version 2.0 supporting the EMC Documentum 6 enterprise content management platform. CYA SmartRecovery protects EMC Documentum repositories against "more than 80 percent" of all information loss incidents, which result from common occurrences such as programmatic, human, operational and logical errors, malfeasance, and metadata corruption. Using CYA SmartRecovery, a single administrator can recover one, several, or thousands of documents and their associated metadata (e.g. audit trails, workflows and digital signatures) back to their original state without taking EMC Documentum offline. CYA SmartRecovery enables ECM objects to be recovered back to any point in time, allowing recovery of objects that have been created or modified as little as 15 minutes ago. CYA Recycle Bin is an "un-delete" tool enabling EMC Documentum end-users to instantly restore files that they have accidentally deleted from the content repository back to their original location. CYA SmartRecovery and CYA Recycle Bin, previously accredited as "Designed for EMC Documentum," have both been validated on the EMC Documentum 6 platform and have been designated "Documentum 6 Ready" by EMC. Leading the announcement is EMC Documentum XML Store, a native XML repository that integrates into the Documentum platform to provide XML processing. The Documentum repository gives organizations a full range of ECM management for their XML content, along with new capabilities for granular content reuse, standards-based search/retrieval, dynamic publishing, and archiving. Documentum XML Store is the foundation for the second product announced, EMC Documentum Dynamic Delivery Services. This server-based content delivery technology improves the way XML can be delivered dynamically to various applications. With Documentum Dynamic Delivery Services, organizations can transform traditional content publishing from a static activity to an on-demand process where personalized, relevant content is delivered to users based on their specific requests, preferences and profiles. With the addition of Documentum XML Store to the Documentum enterprise content management platform, XML can be now be a driver for any type of content-rich application using office documents, blogs, wikis, RSS feeds, mash-ups, business processes, or messages. Documentum Dynamic Delivery Services embeds XML Store to aggregate and cache content from any number of source systems. Oracle Universal Online Archive provides an archiving system that combines the proven infrastructure of the Oracle Database and the hot-pluggability of Oracle Fusion Middleware with a high-volume data ingestion engine to simplify archiving, management and rapid retrieval of multiple content types. Oracle E-mail Archive Service, in conjunction with Oracle Universal Online Archive, provides an optimized e-mail archiving interface for Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes, and SMTP-based mail systems. IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced that MediaSpan Group, Inc., provider of content management and workflow solutions for the Web publishing, magazine, and newspaper markets, will support IBM's Informix Dynamic Server (IDS 11) software to help manage news content delivery to print, online, and wireless news services. IDS 11 will be used with MediaSpan's Jazbox editorial software, a content management solution with an emphasis on connecting news organizations and publishing news to print, web and wireless simultaneously. C2C announced the availability of its Archive Search Services which allows customers a range of open access points to massive amounts of archived email data to improve productivity. Intalio, Inc. announced a partnership with Alfresco Software, Inc. The integrated offering of Intalio|BPMS and Alfresco ECM allows users to manage advanced document-centric workflow processes and support the collaborative development of complex business processes. Document-centric workflow processes provide a way to automate business communications, allowing documents to be transmitted to the right people based on complex rules. The integrated solution also allows Business and IT to collaboratively document complex business processes, making it easier to understand business requirements and the rational behind new procedures. The Alfresco integration project was funded under the Demand Driven Development (D3) model introduced by Intalio in 2006. The idea behind D3 is to allow customers to steer Intalio's product development roadmap in specific directions, then participate in the overall development process through syndicated funding. Oracle announced updates the Oracle Enterprise Content Management Suite, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, to strengthen content security, and enhance their Enterprise Content Management platform. The enhancements improve organizations' ability to secure content by automating encryption of documents stored in Oracle Universal Content Management through a new integration with Oracle Information Rights Management. The integration: Protects documents and emails that users check in to Oracle Universal Content Management by sealing them with Advanced Encryption Standard and RSA cryptography; Helps prevent unauthorized access to electronic documents and emails - even if it they have been downloaded, emailed, copied or transferred outside the corporate network; Allows administrators to control access to electronic documents and emails by local and remote users at the individual and group level at any time; and Does not require user intervention or restrict legitimate access to and search of the encrypted information.
