WoodWing Software has released Enterprise 6, the latest version of the company's content publishing platform. Equipped with a new editing application called "Content Station", Enterprise 6 offers article planning tools, direct access to any type of content repository, and integrated Web delivery functionality. Content Station allows users to create articles for delivery to the Web, print, and mobile devices, and offers out-of-the-box integration with the open-source Web content management system Drupal. Content Station works with Enterprise's new server plug-ins to allow users to search, select, and retrieve content stored in other third-party repositories such as digital asset management systems, archives, and wire systems. Video, audio, and text files can then be collected into "dossiers", edited, and set for delivery to a variety of outputs, all from a single user-interface. A built-in XML editor lets authors create documents intended solely for digital output. The content planning application lets managers assign content to users both inside and outside of the office. Enterprise's Web publishing capabilities feature a direct integration with Drupal. Content authors click on a single button to preview or deliver content directly to Drupal and get information such as page views, ratings, and comments back from the Web CMS. And if something needs to be pulled from the site, editors can simply click "Unpublish". They don't have to contact a separate Web editor or navigate through another system's interface. The server plug-in architecture also allows for any other Web content management system to be connected. http://www.woodwing.com/

Open Text announced availability of the latest release of Open Text Web Solutions. This new release offers a number of additional enhancements to the core of Open Text Web Solutions: Helping customers translate, manage and synchronize multiple websites worldwide. The enhanced functionality is part of a complete solution called Open Text Web Solutions for Multi-Sites that aids in developing a global Web presence. For small and mid-size businesses, it provides a tool for expanding globally. For organizations with a global presence, Web Solutions for Multi- Sites adds new content distribution services that make it easier for Web localization teams to share and update content via a centralized content pool. Once localized content is added to this pool all countries that use the same language can use this content for their local websites. A new Content Translation Management module offers translation workflow integration, expanded support for computer-aided translation tools, and export to standardized XLIFF formats. XLIFF, which stands for XML Localization Interchange File Format, streamlines the exchange of localization data among companies, vendors and across software tools. http://www.opentext.com

Content Circles, a provider of distributed content management and collaboration solutions, announced the availability of Content Circles 1.0, a new approach to enabling distributed and mobile teams to collaboratively create, share, and manage documents within and among companies and organizations on a worldwide basis. Today's workgroups and teams are often distributed across companies, highly mobile, and must quickly assemble around key tasks and need easy, secure access to the right documents at the right time. Web-based content management solutions eliminate IT resource issues but can still be expensive and require training to use. More importantly, they require companies to put all of their confidential documents on the web exposing the companies to significant security as well as business continuity risks. Content Circles understood that unless the solution could be set up and used by virtually any computer user, there would not be broad acceptance and adoption. Some of the elements of the solution include: Instant replication of shared content across users computers; Unlimited file size, storage and usage; Online and offline access to all content; 100% confidential, secure, and spam/ad free; Role-based access control; Version management, including comments per each version; Content synchronization with other repositories including Microsoft SharePoint, Google Docs, FTP Servers and Network Drives; Cross-platform application runs on Mac and PC; One-click, server-free download and installation; and, Subscription pricing model similar to Web conferencing. The company founders realized that well established models of viral software distribution were a perfect fit for Content Circles. Revenue is derived from workgroup leaders and content creators. The Content Circles model takes advantage of the best and most proven elements of these models. Anyone can open and view documents created by a "Circle" owner in a Circle they have been invited to participate in. Participants in a circle can even add content to the circle. A recurring subscription fee is only assessed when an individual needs to create and invite participants to a circle they need to control. http://www.contentcircles.com
