Nuxeo Releases CMIS-Enabled Digital Asset Management Application

Nuxeo announced the general availability of its open source Digital Asset Management offering, Nuxeo DAM. Nuxeo DAM is based on their open source ECM platform, Nuxeo EP. Designed with marketing and brand managers in mind, Nuxeo's DAM software aims to help take control of image, video or audio content. Nuxeo DAM meets the currently available draft of the OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) specification. CMIS is a proposed standard for interoperability across multiple ECM and WCM systems that is expected to be approved this year. Nuxeo EP includes a CMIS Server, based on the latest CMIS specification. As an open source offering, this release of Nuxeo DAM reflects input from the customer and partner community during the beta period.
