Rivet Logic Launches Open Source Web Content Delivery Framework

Rivet Logic Corporation has officially launched Crafter rivet, an open source Web content delivery framework. Crafter rivet offers Web application developers an open source framework for building content- rich applications, including enterprise Web sites, portals, and social networking platforms. Crafter rivet aims to provide the foundation for building Web content delivery systems. Built as an enterprise-grade JEE platform, Crafter rivet provides an infrastructure that not only integrates with enterprise systems and deployment infrastructure, but also supports a range of presentation-tier technologies including lightweight scripting through its REST-based APIs. The initial release provides native support for a variety of Web application frameworks including JBoss Seam, Grails, Alfresco Surf, JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform, and the Liferay Portal. Web development language support includes Java, Groovy, PHP, Javascript, among others. Currently, there are over 30 Web sites running Crafter rivet in production and others are under development.
