Atex unveiled three new products designed to reinforce its position as a supplier with a common editorial, advertising, subscription and Web content management architecture supporting both print and online business models. DNA One is a Web-based system that unites advertising and news content within the Atex Polopoly Web CMS platform. DNA One provides a suite of tools to generate new digital revenues, all integrated into a single package that can be deployed as either an in-house or hosted system. DNA One automates the process of serving targeted ads and related content using metadata-driven publishing queues. With DNA One, user-generated content can be turned into a new revenue source, and contextually relevant ads can be served up based on metadata that is automatically mined and extracted from blog postings. DNA One enables third-party widgets and digital components to be plugged into the Atex Polopoly Web CMS platform. Marketplace is the new Atex online classified advertising portal designed to provide an engaging and interactive experience for buyers, sellers and shoppers. The Atex Marketplace platform uses relationship-oriented search technology powered by Transparensee’s Discovery Search Engine to give visitors faster, more accurate responses to their queries. This technology helps ensure that if an exact match doesn’t exist, then a suitable option will be provided. This, in turn, helps to keep visitors on site longer by guaranteeing they will receive results for their searches. By always returning results, Marketplace encourages visitors to continue searching, thereby increasing their page views per visit and creating more opportunities to serve banner ads on the Web site. The Atex Marketplace runs in a cloud computing environment. Atex will also introduce its latest OneView system. OneView sits above and expands the capabilities of Atex and non-Atex systems to deliver an integrated environment offering a ‘single 360 degree view of the customer’ that reaches across advertising, circulation and subscription information, marketing campaigns, customer relationship management, personalization, and consolidated business analytics. OneView is built in a Web Services framework and can be hosted or deployed in-house using a modular architecture to help reduce installation and training costs. The OneView Circulation Module provides Web tools to create, track and manage digital products. OneView Circulation’s integration with the Atex Polopoly Web content management system allows a media company to offer digital subscriptions for individual sections, personalized editions, or for combined print and online products, supporting both traditional and micro-payment schemes. http://www.atex.com
