Magnolia International Ltd., the Open Source content management vendor, announced the immediate availability of Magnolia 4.1. Just three months after the initial release of the fourth generation of the Java-based content management system, this update allows to create, integrate and publish web content with the significantly enhanced Standard Templating Kit (STK). Web developers can now build enterprise-grade websites faster and easier with Magnolia 4.1, based on a comprehensive and sophisticated set of ready-made website building blocks and pre-configured templates. Magnolia 4.1 is available under a Free Software license, labeled the Community Edition, as well as the commercial Enterprise Edition. Magnolia 4.1 Enterprise Edition provides added functionality on top of what the Community Edition offers, including enterprise-ready features such as: The "Image Engine", which ensures that the size of images that have been uploaded to Magnolia CMS will be adjusted automatically; Image, audio and video files can now be included on any web page created with Magnolia directly from its Digital Asset Management (DAM) environment; New categorization features enable editors to categorize articles and to display them in grouped lists for hierarchical navigation or access through a category cloud; Magnolia Enterprise Edition can be operated as a server cluster with load balancing and failover. Version 4.1 ensures that User Generated Content (UGC) such as comments and forum posts will be delivered simultaneously in a high traffic environment. Magnolia CMS 4.1 is available immediately. Magnolia Community Edition can be downloaded for free under an Open Source license. The Standard Templating Kit (STK) is available for download upon registration. Magnolia Enterprise Edition includes the STK, more enterprise functionality as well as support and guarantees - pricing starts at 12,000 USD. http://www.magnolia-cms.com/
