Apago Releases PDF Shrink 4.5 for Viewing on iPhone, iPod Touch

Apago Inc. announced the availability of PDF Shrink 4.5, which now optimizes PDFs for viewing on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch devices. PDF Shrink is a Mac OS X utility that can reduce most PDF files, including those created by Mac OS X iLife and iWork applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, by "as much as 90% of their original size". The latest update enables Mac users to shrink PDFs, making the entire file, including images, viewable on Apple's handheld devices. Existing features include the ability to process entire folders of PDF files, optional encryption of PDF content, support for JPEG2000 image compression, and a "wizard" for creating customized settings.
