Ektron Inc. announced its new extranet for client collaboration. This application is a stand alone product included with Ektron CMS400.NET version 7.0, and is designed to manage documents and timelines while facilitating collaboration among internal and external project stake holders. An out-of-the-box open source solution, the Ektron extranet includes the following features: Client Authentication - Incorporates Ektron's membership module for adding, managing, and notifying project stake holders; Project Status Dashboard - Allows for visual navigation across all aspects of projects, from one, single location; Wiki Scribble Pad - Tracks major additions, changes or other related announcements for your project teams; Discussion Forums and Message Boards - Facilitates conversations within a non real-time environment; Public and Private Blogs - Further extends communication across the team regarding status, feature creep or other external changes; Integrated Document Management - Allows users to maintain a complete history and an audit trail of all documents that directly affect project success; and, Milestone Tracker - Ensures user goals and deadlines are met.
