Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU.; LSE: AU.L) announced a conceptual index of the World Wide Web. The index currently contains approximately one billion items, including web pages, audio, video and image files, and expansion continues rapidly.
SiberSafe S1000D Enhanced by Semantic Knowledge Modeling

SiberLogic announced the addition of semantic knowledge modeling to the S1000D support already provided in its content management solution, SiberSafe. S1000D, an international specification for the procurement and production of technical publications, is used worldwide by a variety of commercial and government entities for the development of technical documentation. SiberSafe's semantic enablement platform takes S1000D support beyond the authoring process to the entire knowledge management lifecycle. It also enables that content to be retrieved and consumed in new and flexible ways. SiberSafe's modeling technology is built on the open W3C Semantic Web standards RDF and OWL, so organizations are not locked into a proprietary solution once a significant volume of knowledge has been captured. http://www.siberlogic.com/s1000d/

Liquid Machines & Trinity Announce Enterprise Rights Management Solution for Documentum

Liquid Machines, Inc. and Trinity Technologies announced the Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway. The Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway is an enterprise rights management solution that extends the access controls and audit capabilities of Documentum's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform beyond the Documentum repository to ensure information protection and compliance throughout the information management lifecycle. EMC Documentum controls access to and tracks usage of documents within the repository, but a document becomes unmanaged as soon as it is retrieved, published to a web site or portal, or distributed to a partner via email. Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway enforces Documentum policies and tracks user actions on data as it travels outside of the repository and is used within native applications such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat. Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway provides a single point of policy management that allows administrators to define, assign, enforce and audit content policies using their Documentum management interface. Additionally, Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway supports secure collaboration, allowing users and groups to cooperate during the content development and editing process, while maintaining Documentum protection and auditing user actions. Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway also allows content user to work with protected content while offline without having to connect to a licensing server first. The Liquid Machines Documentum Gateway is available immediately. http://www.trinitytechnologies.com, http://www.liquidmachines.com

PaperThin Announces Content Classification & Discovery Capabilities

PaperThin, Inc. announced advanced content classification and discovery capabilities in CommonSpot Content Server version 4.6. New features include a taxonomy term editor and a taxonomy API, along with a facet-based navigation element. The taxonomy term editor lets organizations build and manage taxonomies directly within CommonSpot. Each taxonomy defines one or more facets or hierarchical views into the data by defining 'broader than' and 'narrower than' relationships between terms. Terms can also be defined to have other relationships in accordance with the ANSI Z.39 standard. Content can then be assigned to terms using the taxonomy classification custom metadata field. The taxonomy API allows developers to programmatically access any of the terms and relationships within a taxonomy. Also included in version 4.6 is a container element which provides Web designers and developers increased control and flexibility over the positioning and scheduling of content on a page. The element delivers support for table-less layout of content using Cascading Style Sheet Positioning (CSS-P). http://www.paperthin.com

Marqui, Inc. announced it has added a corporate blogging module to its Web-based suite for marketers. Marqui designed its blog module specifically for business users, adding features such as enhanced trackback management, approval-based workflow and a flexible architecture that allows for reader surveys. The blog module is an extension of Marquis Web-based software suite, which helps organizations simplify and automate a wide range of marketing communications initiatives, such as e-mail campaigns, newsletters, Web sites, RSS and more. With Marqui, businesses get browser-based access to one application that provides content management, business process management, subscriber e-mail campaign management, and measurement capabilities. This includes adding Technorati tags or even integrations with FeedBurner. Marqui's blogging module is available immediately and can be purchased as a stand-alone solution or bundled with the rest of the Marqui suite. Subscriptions start at $2,500/year (USD). http://www.marqui.com

IXIASOFT Launches TEXTML Server 3.6

IXIASOFT announced the availability of TEXTML Server 3.6. IXIASOFT has extended TEXTML Server's functionality by providing users with new features enabling them to manage, search and sort extremely large document bases. Developed for the management of large volumes of content, the TEXTML Server "Meta Services" feature enables users to query multiple document bases from a single and/or multiple physical servers as if they were querying one single document base. TEXTML Server 3.6 now enables users to access fragments of a document upon a search result, instead of the whole document. This feature maximizes the speed at which search results can be obtained. For example, users can select to have only specific fields returned (ie. Title and Author) which optimizes the access of search results and reduces the amount of processing (XSLT) required on the application tier, especially when dealing with large volumes of documents. http://www.ixiasoft.com

Kentico CMS 1.7 Enables On-line Forms

The new version 1.7 of Kentico CMS for ASP.NET introduces a new BizForms module that allows content editors to create and publish data entry forms on the web site. Instead, every end user can design a web form using various fields and add form to the page. Kentico CMS 1.7 also comes with a new Content Staging module. It allows organizations to edit and preview the whole web site on the staging server and publish it to the production server after testing. It also improves the security as the editing interface can be placed behind the firewall. Kentico CMS is $499 per web site and is available at http://www.kentico.com
